So you want to know about me, hmmm?

Very well: the name is Hull. Sandra Hull. You probably already knew that. You may or may not know that I live in Arlington, Virginia and that my main claim to fame (all right already, my only claim to fame) is being an amateur humor writer who appears in The Top Five List, the Washington Post's Style Invitational and The Daily Probe. Since March of 2001 I've been the "List Vet" of the Top5 Pets Mini Fiver. My friends, family and co-workers have become quite accustomed to my looking at them as if for the very first time and blurting out "Which is funnier: Manhattan-style clam chowder or New England?"

When not making important comedy decisions I spend my weekdays as a technical trainer in a government agency (I'm a contractor, not "regular Army", NTTAWWT) teaching Ph.D.s how to find their "any" keys. I have a B.A. and M.A. in French: of course I work with computers!

As you might guess from the name of this web site, I sew. I was gonna say "I'm a sewer", but that doesn't look quite right in print. I mainly make "wearable art" vests, jackets and accessories by machine-quilting cotton fabric and sometimes recycled blue jeans. Ever since I started being a webmaster I haven't had enough time or energy to do much sewing. Ditto knitting, crocheting and cross-stitching. My creative bent is satisfied with my web work, but my wardrobe suffers for it.

What else? I'm in my 3rd year as a beginning guitarist, but hey, I started learning late so cut me some slack. I'm always told I don't look my age; that's because I absolutely don't act it. Because I'm single I am required by law to have cats, but I am safely under the "Weird Cat Lady" limit with just the two. I've had a wicked crush on Stephen Stills ever since I was nine. I've passed the Jeopardy! contestant test 3 times in a row now (you have to re-test every year to stay in the pool) but have yet to be called up. My being remarkably unphotogenic probably has a lot to do with it.

Want to know what's on my mind? Read my blog (blogs: I hate the name, love the concept): Warped Woofing
